Refunds
If Cardew isn’t right for you, ask for a refund within 30 days of buying. No awkward questions.
The short version
- Email us within 30 days of purchase and we’ll arrange a refund through Stripe.
- You don’t need to explain why. The purchase email or order reference is enough.
- A refunded licence is deactivated; Cardew returns to free mode.
- Nothing in this policy excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
How to ask
- Within 30 days of your purchase, email support@greythornstudioworks.com with “Cardew refund” in the subject. Include the email address used at checkout or your Stripe order reference.
- We’ll confirm your request and arrange the refund through Stripe, our reseller and merchant of record. You don’t need to give a reason.
- Stripe returns the money to your original payment method. The time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
If Stripe sends you refund confirmation directly, keep it with your receipt. Contact us if anything looks wrong.
What happens to your licence
When a full refund is issued, the licence is deactivated. Cardew returns to permanent free mode at its next online licence check, with recordings capped at 30 seconds. Please stop using the full version after the refund. Your settings and content aren’t deleted.
If you only want help moving the licence to another Mac or fixing a problem, email us instead; a refund isn’t necessary.
Try before buying
Cardew has a full-featured trial covering 14 days of actual use, with no card needed. We’d rather you test it with your own voice, apps and work before buying. The 30-day refund offer is there if you still find it isn’t right for you.
Your rights under Australian law
Nothing in this policy excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under that law. You may be entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage, including outside the 30-day offer.
You may also be entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure doesn’t amount to a major failure. See section 10 of our licence and terms of sale.
Problems with a purchase
If you were charged twice, charged the wrong amount, didn’t receive your licence key or need a VAT or GST receipt, email us and we’ll help sort it out with Stripe. You can contact us first if you’d like us to help sort it out quickly.
